San, I think this Rudbeckia is a half hardy annual...and the Osteo is a tender perennial....

Half hardy means what it says, you might get away with it, if....... the weather is favourable, the price reflected that San, we bought some lovely Rudbeckias last year some we left in and others took out, all of them died, you need fully hardy on the label, there are many very hardy Rudbeckias.

My prairie sun is still flowering. I shall take it into the conservatory soon though, and see if it survives. Worth a try San...you live and learn don't you. Some of the stuff the gc.s sell off cheap is embarrassing. Some of it needs putting on the compost heap, they have such a hard neck selling it. As for the osteo, I've overwintered them out in the soil successfully in mild winters. I've put mine all in pots and stuck them in the greenhouse. I don't think they will survive in there, they will probably rot. Last winter I took cuttings and they grew well, but this year I couldn't be bothered! Time will tell...worth a try.

Sorry i didnt get back to you sooner San....I see you've had plenty of advice....Maybe a good mulch on the rudbeckia and hope for the best San....cuttings from the Osteo..or again heavy mulching..or...both....:>)
