Hi Whistonlass,The base was an indoor water fountain with a tiny pump in it but you couldn't turn it down enough so the water would spray over the sides onto the table, which as you can imagine was no good watsoever, so it was just sitting idle for a long time untill I had the idea of planting it with cacti. I,ve got a lovely terrarium that was slightly leaking and has been redundant for ages, my OH is resealing it and I will be making another arrangment in it.

Clever clogs, Lins....I do think it looks cute. I've only had a terrarium once (it was in the 70's)...a lovely round clear glass one but we also had 2 kittens. Before I could even get it planted up they decided it was a good place to play and rolled it right off the coffee table, smashing it to the ground. Boy did they scoot (uninjured). I've never tried another....it will be interesting to see how your terrarium comes to life...good for OH for resealing it for you :)
