Bromeliad

My first Bromeliad.
I think that it's Vriesea Vulcana. Small plant of only seven inches.
And yes, it really is that dark coloured!

It's very beautiful! If you like bromeliads you should check out some of my pics. I went to a garden party a couple of years ago here in San Diego...the owners the whole property planted with bromeliads and tillandsias. It was incredible!

Delonix - it was an impulse buy for a couple of quid! If it wasn't for the colour I wouldn't have noticed it!
I'll check them out later - are they tagged Bromeliad?

That's an incredible photo! I've taken photos of hundreds of Bromeliads blooming...and none ever looked this good. lol! :>)
