I'll let it flower a while longer and then start pinching them out. From what I've read so far, it seems to prefer a poor soil a little on the dry side.

Why are you going to pinch the flowers out? I've never done that and it's growing really well. Pictures to follow just in case something happens during the winter.

It needs to bush out a bit really Alexandra. Plus our hours of daylight are going to be quite short, so pinched out it will be!

Think of it like a racehorse - they tend to be kept away from prospective mates in order to build their strength up! So as the flowers are getting smaller, it's best that it's strength now goes into building it up into a fine strapping specimen for next season!!
