This little one found its way to this bed all on its own. I knew the little viola would reseed, but I didn't expect this big one. I had one red giant pansy last year, must have come from that. I hope to keep getting it. :-)

do they re-seed in a different colour? i didnt realise that ~ makes it exciting! i gather hellebores dont necessarily stay the same colour but didnt know that pansies were like that

I've always gotten the same color from seed of a pansy that the parent was. This is my first that is different, either this is the dominant color in this hybrid, or it mixed with someone else somehow. :-)

Lucky it did, such a vibrant color, GT.

Thank you. One of a few that I've added around though the others are little violas. I've only been one other place that has these pansy sprouting wild. I let it go to seed of course. :-)

I always spread my pansy and viola seeds on my raised beds, then wait and see what colours I end up with, have to say they are usually blue and yellow, no matter what colour the original plant was...

Very welcome in any color I say. Thats a good idea to spread where you want them. I have just been hoping they go where I want......lol
