Well, CluelessKev, I've searched through your 73 photos several times and this is the nearest photo I can find to a rockery.

Has there been any progress ?

No, the jcb dug it out (along with 40 tons of 'rubble/dirt etc).
I meant to post pics as it was just coming along, then decided to 'nuke' the whole area, and along with it, all the usual run-of-the-mill rockery shrubs/plants. Another crime of mine I know !
My Mum kept asking me to dig some out for her before I got the diggers in, but I forgot ! Well, the jcb's turned up earlier than expected, so I was caught between a rockery and a hard place.
