Yes, I like this plant very much. I have some in the front yard and usually they would've bloomed by now. I've posted pics of them in full bloom in the past. I may post one again. :>)

I keep wondering if this will grow in Phoenix, but I've never had the chance to try. Does it do okay when the heat cranks up, Delonix?

Tugbrethil:
It needs semi-shade here...and it does like heat...however, I don't know about the really dry, extremely high temps of Phoenix. It's one of those plant which really doesn't like our hard water also.

Ouch! That hard water problem doesn't bode well. No way to tell about the temps until I get to try it, though. I was hoping that it did like Lantana and Bougainvillea in your area: accelerate when the temps go over 100.

Tugbrethil:
It's native to South American tropical rain forest. Most likely it's not used to growing in temps above 100F./ 38C. in native habitat.

Alas! I may still try it, but I'm less likely to move heaven and earth to find it!

Tugbrethil:
I'm guessing, it's not too available for sale there?

Not to be found at all.
