acer and the grasses

Im not usually very good at grouping the right plants together ~ but im quite pleased with the effect of this group ~ there is still room for improvement tho ~ any suggestions?

I like the acers too, but unfortunately I cant grow them here. maybe one day with climate change

my new little acer is currently in the conservatory ~ in case of frost!
could you keep them indoors?
maybe bonsai?

I already have too many plants indoors, not too keen on bonzai trees. my porch is full of fig trees

I think full sun is recommended, i have a couple on my west facing border which is shady in the morning.

lots of shade here ~ the house is nearly surrounded by very tall trees which dont belong to us ~ the south side is where we join onto the other house!!! ~ which is a bit of a shame.
