This is my little Aster, but I have lost the label, could it be Lady in Black !!

Probably it was called lateriflorus horizontalis originally then someone else has come along & called it lady in black. You do find this happens a lot with plant names. Maybe a slight difference in stem colour or leaf or something,so someone tags on "Lady in Black" I have another plant somewhat weedier & the flowers are slightly paler in colour.

As I only have Lady in Black have nothing to compare it with.....

I've just looked in just one catalogue & it has Aster lateriflorus "lovely" listed, & says It dosen't look like a normal lateriflorus. So it does seem as if there could be a bit of variation with plants. So,- Shall we leave it there lol.

It is pretty Louis, when I had a florist business, I used to be able to buy something called September Flower which was a dainty white one. It was mainly used as a filler for bouquets,like Gyp.
