Hello Homebird. Thanks for your comments on my clematis plants. Most of them were planted this year and I've been delighted with the results thus far. The garden had been mostly filled with overgrown, aged, bramble-filled shrubs and unspectacular trees, predominantly Grisselina. We stripped most of it out, painted the fence, put up wires and planted a wide variety of climbers. I get so excited when each comes into flower! And there's more room in the beds for other interesting plants too.
