I did manage to re-plant most of this border but the gravel will have to wait until next spring now.

Yes, it looks so alive and not at all November!! Looks great without the gravel Ann. My front window border is full of rose buds on my Pilgrim roses, but I think they are way too late to flower now....:(( The terrible cloudy and wet July just held everything up so badly and the second flush on the roses came too late really...oh well....there's always next year!

I have moved things like my 20 year old Irises to this sunny spot in the hope they will flower again, the gravel garden will hopefully stop some of the neighbouring cats and let me walk to the back gate in winter when the grass is too soggy :-)))

You've done a great job on this section of the front garden, Annella. I can understand the advantage of the gravel but it does look so good already :)
