Kalmia latifolia 'Olympic Fire'

I know it's not much to look at but it is REALLY hard to find mountain laurels in Michigan! All of the ones I have are from mail order nurseries. I plant them in a 50/50 mix of sand and peat moss and the pH is 5.0. I only use rainwater when watering them too (I have hard water). Anyone else have experience growing these? I can't wait to see what this looks like in a few years!
