Coffea arabica - Coffee Tree with young coffee cherries

This is a first for me, and do you use them to make coffee?

I don't drink coffee. I usually give the seeds away or let them fall and they germinate during winter...then I give the plants away. :>)

People are always suprised when they see the coffea growing in the Palm House at Kew:They expect the beans to be bigger.

The fruit on this Coffee plant is still young. They won't ripen until next spring.

LOL! Coffee trees should grow very well where you live. My tree is about 8 feet/2.5m tall. It is a very heavy producer of coffee. It does like rain water though....as it brown-tips from our hard water (the only draw back).

It might be an interesting experiment to pick them when they ripen and try roasting your own beans! I have tasted coffee made from arabica beans...I have tasted Jamaican Magic Mountain coffee...it's amazingly delicious... I know there are many different blends of coffee...how many types of coffee tree are there, D1?

There's many varieties of coffee. Don't know the exact number though.
