This what was left on my clematis after the tepals or the sepals have dropped off. Very interesting.As it goes mature seeds turn golden to brown in color then falls/
drop to the ground.Next season you will have lots of baby clematis.I have quite a bit of it but they have not flowered yet. Still waiting.
