Pecans

These locally-grown pecans are a real treat & the freshest ones you'll ever taste. I bought 8 pounds of them yesterday - all the store had. They were just picked and were hand-shelled the evening before. Yum! I'm not a real fan of nuts, although I will most definitely admit to being nutty, but I could eat these all day.

They're so much better than anything you can buy in the grocery store. They melt in your mouth & have a slight maple taste to them.

I'm drooling here too :) Never had really fresh pecans, I can understand you buying 8 lbs. of them. Will you bake with them as well, Lauram? Pecan pie perhaps? Pecans are quite expensive over here to buy and I sometimes substitute walnuts in recipes. Happy munching :)

i love all nuts ~ walnuts have a slightly bitter taste tho i think. the english walnut has a soft texture ~ the one that was in my mum and dads garden did anyway.
