First Snow of Winter 2010

Yes, I heard on the news early this morning the UK is experiencing the earliest snowfall in 17 years...however, didn't hear it was the most snow ever recorded in November. Wow! I hope you warm up soon! It's turning out to be a wild and wholly winter so far!!!

Tomorrow morning we may have the coldest temperatures recorded in some of the urban areas of San Diego in 4 years or longer. There's another frost advisory out for the inland canyons and valleys of San Diego County (this is the third frost advisory in the last week -- unheard of for this time of year!). It's crazy! My low temp this morning was 42F/5.6C. and tomorrow morning it may be down to 40F/ 4.4C ...or possibly lower?! Hopefully not though!!! My plants are all fine now...however, if these temps persist some of my plant will start showing cold stress.

The low this morning in my area was 42F/5.6C...and the high temp was 68F/20C. I don't get frost here...however, some areas in northern San Diego County has had frost and low temps down to 29F/-1.7C. Many cities in San Diego County have been breaking cold records for the last 6 days...and some of the records being broken go back to 1918. This cold weather is extremely rare! (it would be unusual even for January)

Tonight the temps are much warmer than they've been over the last 6 days. Thank goodness!!!
