Balboa Park is the largest urban cultural park in the U.S.; it's 1,500 acres. I believe Golden Gate Park, San Francisco is number 2 and Central Park, New York is number 3.
Yes, this plant is incredible. I used to have one until the ants and scales destroyed it! :>(
