Now that I'm no longer killing them I'm looking at getting a few more. I have a hankering for something like this one.....

They have many different faces at different stages Amy. Some are almost comical!

This bud reminds me of a poppy in the summer!

It does doesn't it. But this is still going whilst my poppies are done!
It was suggested to me that this may be Paph. glaucophyllum, a species Paph that can flower on one spike for over a year. Best of all, they can start to produce a new spike before the old one is finished, meaning that it can effectively become ever-blooming. How nice would it be if that id were correct!

There are many Paph hybrids meanie, post a picture when its in bloom. I may be able to find out if if's a species or not.

Tell me about it Rbt! And Paph. glaucophyllum is pretty widely "used" as a parent too - it's one of the parents of my Paph Pinnocchio.

As I said on the question about the blue Phal, I really can't get too excited on the issue of noids vs registered orchids. If I like I buy! And there are some rather uninspiring hybrids and species orchids out there.
