Early Summer in NE Downunder - a shady corner of my Courtyard Garden

looks so inviting...i could just sit there for an hour or two.....:-)

It is a lovely spot, Sandra ... but right now I think the noise of the millions of Cicadas out in the surrounding bushland would drive you indoors after about an hour or so! I know the din drives me nuts!

i ust had to google cicadas,..i bet it can be annoying listening to them. but i see they dont bite..i hate insects that bite..we get midgies that love to bite me in the summer....

Sandra Was going to say i could sit there aswell, but on second thoughts i'll pass with those insects.

Sandra ... no thankfully the Cicadas don't bite, but we do get mosquitoes and there's March flies as well at the moment. Those March flies have a nasty bite! I get huge big red lumps from their bites and they last for ages on me.

Carol ... we're lucky we don't get too many flies out here, but there's certainly other insects that make up for the lack of them! I've seen some huge big stick insects lately and lots of cicadas, of course.

I don't envy you...those cicadas can be so loud and annoying! I don't have too many here where I live now...my other house there used to be thousands in summer!

Andy, they drive me completely nuts in the summertime. There's millions of the Double Drummer Cicadas in the bushland around here ... and they make an incredibly loud din!
