This is a cycad in habitat in the Biviaans Kloof which has been dated at about 3000 years old. It was branched with 7 stems, the tallest of which was over 8 feet tall. All the cycads in the valley have produced a fresh crown of leaves, the first in over three years. Most likely the effect of the drought.
