Like that a lot are they waterproof.it would look nice outside.I know you show them outside but not sure if it is just for effect when you take the photos

Thanks Sticki and Bjs. This one is an indoors one because its backed onto wood. I do look for granit and marble to do the outside ones, trouble is it's difficult to hang them thy have to be set into a wall, so I just lean them up instead!

O love slate quarries, went to one in the lakes last year, fill ya boot for 20 quid! It's so heavy you can't take too much!! I am planning to go back to Exmoor soon to find some riverwashed slate, it's silver and pretty!!

let me know where it is please? i would love some of that ~ the stone wall we have in the garden is devon rustic slate!

I will have to look at a map, we came across the river washed slate in a river (oddly enough!) and in the Lakes, I will ask my husband where we were.
