this one is on a piece of granit, it's about 20"x20 and heavy!

Iv'e used slate in the mosaic, but a big enough piece would be a good backing, it musn't have any fractures though.

Glass is just the best, cheaper than diamonds!! And yup, I did use a few bits of mirror.

I have a friend who's into glass - he made a foxglove window feature amongst others.

Foxgloves are just the best, probably would have to use leaded window as a feature for that to give it the best advantage. Maybe thats why I am thinking about using enamel paint on copper because the mosaics I make are limited.

now that is very pretty, i love the blue but i love all of it
have you put mirror glass in some of the petals?
would it be possible to put mosaic on slate?
