It's so nice to walk round the garden and find some plants flowering 6p , you know then that spring is on the way :o) the frame is the frame of a stamp ... it does look like it's been cut with pinking shears ..!

We have several things starting to show maybe it's because we are further south , we didn't get quite so much bad weather as you did up north late last year ......

Very nice Amy. Is this similar to Witch Hazel? I need to get some winter colour in the garden.

Yes Dawn it's similar , the flowers on the Witch Hazel ( Hamanelis ) are more frilly like spiders legs ....LOL.. if you know what I mean !
Sorry Skips , I couldn't get it all in it dosn't have flowers on every branch also I have a Beech tree right in front of it to close really but I wouldn't dare to move either of them now .. :o(

How big is it Amy, or how big does it get? Which do you prefer, this or Hamanelis? Curious as I've included Hamanelis in my new plan but thinking Chimonanthus praecox ' Luteus ' may be nicer ???

mine is approx 8/9 ft tall Dawn , I don't have a Hamamelis but I think it might be prettier than the Chimonanthus praecox , the Hamamelis looks to have more flowers , you have the choice so I would stick with your plan I think it will be more attractive ... :o))

Thanks Amy, you remembered I have Hamamelis in my new plan. :-)
