A very ancient crabapple!

the inside of the bowl of branches was full of crossings and waterspouts... rather than wait for spring I took the worst out. will fine tune the pruning after the blossom in spring.

Yes, Sandra. and I just realized how hard it is to see the tree I'm referring to. The little bridge is in the left foreground... the apple is on the far right...the tree just behind it, (centre) is a very dead elm. Plenty to do as you can see, and the snow just keeps on falling!

Amen to that, Sandra. We just had the first major snow storm of the winter. A very heavy fall that went on for almost 18 hours. We are snowed in and the plow just plugged up our driveway!
