Streptacarpus seedlings

My very first babies from the plant on my title page. Seems Bampy and I started ours off about the same time though I planted mine in just potting compost straight from the bag. They have been on a north facing bedroom window sill all this time and must confess I had given up hoping for anything to happen. It is the warmest place in the house as the central heating boiler is there, and I start all my seedlings off on this sill as I do not have a greenhouse -yet. Any advice on separating these babies from their mothers - when, how and what soil, will be greatfully received.

Well done you!!.....it will be a few months before they are large enough to separate and pot up seperately, in multi purpose compost. I would think about early April and they should be ready.....Start them off in quite small plant pots and don't pot on until the roots fill the pot...they will flower more profusely when slight pot bound...
