It looks huge Dawn, without all the spring/summer growth around it......but I love it....You can see the little bridge on the island too...

Have to agree looks like a lake but looks lovely aswell love your garden all year round.

Thanks everyone, beyond the island its as big again the other side, lol. 50 metres long. No doubt I'll be in there in my boat or waders checking reeds dont take over in the Spring.

Great colour Dawn, it looks as though it goes on forever. The Willow on the river banks down here are just coming into their glory.

It is definitely a lake , it's huge , both you and John have done a marvelous job of it Dawn ,it looks terrific , the bridge has worked very well .. can't wait to see the plants growing round it ... :o))

Thanks Amy, its was hard work as u know but worth it. I will do a blog when it starts to look more established. We have an identical bridge the other side of the island too :)

Lol Erkabobby, no mermaids sorry but frogs and toads and the odd grass snake. They say where's there's muck there's money, hmmm ... Just plenty of muck.

I would have to call that a 'lake' DA! lovely! Your garden is just stunning. Look at that sun lit sky reflecting that blue, and those wonderful birch stems. Know what you mean though....needs some marginals to soften the edges. Not long now DA! I just received my 'water avens' for my boggy bit! Hope to get it planted tomoz.
