Kalanchoe species in my front yard

This Kalanchoe grows very commonly here in San Diego...I still haven't figured out which species it is yet. It can grow to more than 8ft/2.5m tall, if supported. Photo taken Jan. 29, 2011.

It looks lovely as Grandmage said in colour, is it a young plant.

It's been in the ground for over 2 years. For some reason every plant in the section of the yard does not grow well...I think it's because of the roots from the tall Norfolk Island Pine and Jacaranda tree. My dad's plants are the same age...and are over 8ft/2.5m tall.

What a shame could nt you plant in large pots instead then. Yes trees take all the goodness, here on allotment no one will accept one if it has Mares tail or trees.
