1st Crocus!

A welcome sight

Oh, fantastic! The first crocus is for me, a very special thing. Like spring time has now come!

I have hundreds poking their little heads up, just need a little sunshine now!! Don't we all!!

I think we are getting some tomorrow. Hope you do too!

Why are mine so slow?!
I'll have to buy some forced ones at this rate!

Must be a later var. Meanie. I think the species ones tend to be earlier and the big ones later....

Mine are supposed to be the species.......

ive hardly got any crocus ~ and the ones i have usually get eaten!

Am going out very soon, I may be some time, the garden is a total weedy mess!

Sun out too but still closed, then I got embroiled in mostly emptying the pond, yuk! Lots of dead toads again but one live fish and one toad and lots of Dragonfly lavae nearly grown. Tried to photograph one but it's too blurry, will take another pic tomorrow! Knackered now!

ooooh yes cut grass path ~ would look really good ~ could you sow wild flowers either side of it?
