you can see the effect of the frost. i must have collected 100 leaves that had fallen

That's a shame...I wonder how would one go about protecting it from frost. Maybe a covering of hessian? It looks like it has been there a long time...so sure it will recover. Good Luck!

This looks like mine Spirit.....I am hoping it will sprout again from the trunk though. If the trunk is soft then it needs to be cut back to hard, firm growth....then it should sprout again.

This has happened to my son two large ones too, its such a shame, I m sure some one said if the crown is still there, they grow back.
