This large Kei Bottlebrush (not a true Bottlebrush - Callistemon) was blooming very well at the San Diego Zoo.

Yes, most of the species are very ornamental...and native to eastern South Africa.

Yes, it's brilliant red! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a pic of the whole shrub...it was too shaded in this area.
