This rare tropical palm is native to Maui, Hawai'i. This one is growing very happily at the San Diego Zoo. Photo taken Feb. 11, 2011.

Yes, I like this palm. There's several Pritchardia species in this Hawaiian Native Plants section of the San Diego Zoo.
