Narcissus 'February Gold'

Early April seems to be the norm for me since I moved!!

Hurray, just in time this year! I love this one, it's a lovely colour, shape and size.

It looks great in its clump, Karen/Homebird. I may just see that this month with a bit of luck.

Oh dear, Meanie! I do love having early flowers - I'm thinking of getting some REALLY early ones! :-)

At the old place I had Daffs open on the first of January one year!
But here I suffer fewer winter losses, Tropaeolum peregrinum thrived (until the flea beetles arrived), and no more Lily beetles! And hopefully my Frittilaries will be in bloom tomorrow!!

Mine haven't reappeared. :-((((

Why no more lily beetles? Don't they like Oxfordshire?

I noticed the pot of fritilleries sprouting a few weeks ago, so I just put them behind a sheet of polycarbon up against the house wall below the boiler flue - they seem to have liked it there.

I have a fritillary appearing after all, Meanie - only one so far, though. I'll have to try to remember to plant some more next autumn.

You are lucky, escaping the ravages of the red perils! I don't grow lilies in the borders now - I keep them in pots so I can check them every day.

I didn't realize the lily beetle attacked frits as well untill last year, although I've only found them on lilies for the first time last year. I don't think my frits are up yet. Did Brazen Hussy survive Spritz? Mine looked realy lovely in the sun yesterday.

Yes, they did, thanks Pam - but no flowers yet. I'll tell you when they do produce some. :-)
