Yes I have a Weigelia in my garden, different variety, they grow ok here. I would have thought Alex could grow it too, not absolutely certain, but can see no reason why not. Good luck

I'm in Newfoundland and we have a short summer and a long cold winter and it grows beautifully here, as you can see.
