This huge flowering tree is probably the second most commonly planted Coral tree after the very common Erythrina caffra...which is the official tree of Los Angeles, Ca. Photo taken at San Diego Botanical Gardens on Mar. 1, 2011.

Erythrina species are huge flowering trees. The flowers cover the tree when they loose their leaves.
