At least it's not JUST me! My OH took one look at it when it arrived and said it wouldn't last five minutes - and he was right, drattit! :-(

I do think the wire fencing could adequately be covered with climbers...evergreen and seasonal and thus avoiding the need for screening. I'm fast getting the idea no one has anything good to say about the brushwood, willow or bamboo screening. Hmmmm

Just think of the cash and work we've saved you Whistonlass! :-)

.....I'm on the prowl now to get two more quotes for our garden....it all gets a bit confusing. Yes, saved us some cash and work alright as the gardener who suggested the screening didn't include that cost in his quote.
Thanks Beattie & Hywel for your feedback.

This is a long split where the twisted wires that are supposed to hold bundles of brushwood have rusted away and the whole screen is falling apart. The bamboo sticks behind are my next attempt at a screen. They're woven in and out of horizontal lengths of batten nailed to fence posts. I hope this works better, the brushwood screen has been up for a year.
