"Fukushima" sunflower.

LOL. No, it is not my garden, it is in Austria, in a castleĀ“s garden. I was shocked by this size of the sunflower. I guess the ethiology of this is either "heavy" water (e.g. radioactive) or genetic engineering. Both are not my favourites.

I'm wondering why it should be radioactive, or have I missed something other than the japaneese missfortunes!
But you never know, hightened radioactivity reported in scotland today it seems.............

In Central Europe there were rains these days, there was increased radioactivity above normal levels, although we were told that particles from Fukushima would disappear or drop down above the ocean. You know, in Siberia no wonder, it is closer to Japan. So far, maybe your sunflowers this summer will be as big. I would be happy with normal ones.

now thats what I call an umberella, is that your garden. I'm trying to grow sunflowers this year, I hope they end up as big!
