Looking great! This plant needs a lot of sun to bloom well. I used to have one that I trained as a standard. I used to bring it in when it was blooming then put it back outside when it wasn't.

I MIGHT put it out in the summer but it is definitely coming in the house again for winter. I left one in the unheated kitchen of my shop and it's only a stick now. Looks like it needs a good month to come back to life.

They do need quite a bit of strong light to bloom. Outside you may want to initially put it in semi-shade...as it may burn from the low light of the house to strong outdoor sunlight. It's a very tropical vine. They grow well outside here...however, in some years they may loose a few leaves in Winter...but as you know it's a very vigorous grower.

Delonix,
This plant get a good amount of sun even indoors....it has flower buds now. This will be my outdoors in summer indoors in winter plant. My mom left hers outdoors and it lost all its leaves.
I also have two Clerodendrum Ugadense seedlings, they are only about four inches in hight at the moment. Really excited to see them in bloom!!!

Well, it definitely appears C. thomsoniae is too tender to grow outdoors there in winter.
Clerodendrum ugandense is a spectacular, very commonly grown large shrub here in CA. It should do very well where you live...as it's very hardy, even though it's native to tropical Africa. It tolerates a lot of heat and grows extremely fast! (in the ground).
I have the tropical Clerodendrum quadriloculare (Starburst bush) which I've had for 2 years and am waiting for it to display its extremely showy flowers (hopefully soon as it was planted in the ground last Fall) This plant has become very common in San Diego over the last 5 years or so.
Here's a pic of a blooming one:

Here's my plant in the backyard growing under the bananas.

Alexandramou:
Are Clerodendrum quadriloculare not available for sale there? The green form (with burgundy on backs of leaves) and variegated form is commonly available for sale here.

Delonix,
I haven't seen any....I'll keep a look out for them. Visiting the nursery weekly now.

Alexandramou:
It's a very tender shrub. Maybe it sold as a houseplant?
I know this shrub has only become common in the last 5 years or so here...and it's been very widely grown in south Florida for many years.

It will look nice in my house then. ;o)))
