Mum, this is lovely, but why the pot and care? They are tough as old boots! Mine were so damaged in the winter I had to cut them back to bare sticks and they are springing back to life! They get really big you know!

Maybe that's why your mom has decided to keep it in a pot, Karen....so it will restrict it's growth? Just a guess :)

Hi girls, not ignoring you just went off to my bed early, so so tired, I did think that it would be ok in the garden, but was not sure. After all the losses this winter I didn't want to risk it, the plan was to put it there when it got a little bigger anyway. I can see it from the kitchen window where it is, maybe not be able to see it elsewhere, but just thought if I put it where it is now, but in the garden, I could chop it back so that it didn't get knocked by the men when they are walking backwards and forwards with their barrows. They always moan about branches sticking out and poking them as they pass, none of them are gardeners. men eh!. I suppose I could just ignore the men, but they do go on! I did have a pine tree there, grew it from seed, it was lovely, but they don't like being pruned, and it kept growing out into the path and they kept moaning, so I moved it in the end. They were very pleased and said now don't plant anything there again. lol. oh dear they will moan. lol lol lol :oO)
