Clematis from Morrisons

i bought mine from morrisons as well... last year

I am going to take the other one back, the centre has been cut out of it and it can't grow,

ow thats a shame....

I think it will still grow ok Yorks. It will shoot out again. You may have to wait a little longer for flowers but it will make the plant stronger.

If your not happy with it, then take it back, but I find they usually shoot again from the base. I accidentally cut one of mine off last year and it has put out another shoot. Especially if planted nice and deep, and keep the roots cool.

I agree with Cinders on this one,Yorkshire..it should shoot from the bottom anyway,so don't think it will be a problem.Maybe this first year ,it could be a bit slow,till it gets established,but it looks healthy enough..I put stones round the base of mine,to keep the roots cool,just a bit away from the stems,and they like to be well watered too..good luck..:o)

rotten weather today,

Your'e right there,Yorkshire..and cold! Wore flattie shoes yesterday,but back in my boots today,when i went to town,this morning..!!

we went to the village for milk and ralph was frozen, came home and put the heating on, did you have a nice mothers day, and did thomas enjoy his 1st birthday,

We have stayed in this afternoon,and kept warm !It doesn't feel quite as bad this evening.lets hope its better tomorrow..Typical April showers too,some very heavy..at least the plants like it ,they seem to be shooting up..:o)

Bloomin cold here today... yorks... but think its meant to get better for rest of week..... hope so for all of us..
