There lovely Yorkshire, I didnt plant any last autumn, I will this year tho, they seem to survive anything and on a dark miserable winters day, they shine through :) Yours are a gorgeous colour..

they must have had a foot of snow on them in the winter, miracle how they survived,

I know, i planted some in pots year before last and they only sulked 2 days during the winter, some days you couldn't see them for snow. there worth every penny we pay for them :)
