My new raised beds.

These were built specifically to take my collection of 33 different varieties of Heuchera. I have added bulbs and primulas along with some later flowering perennials.

Thank you. After all the rain we have had they are all beginning to perk up.I think the primulas will last for a couple of months and by then the heucheras should be ready to strut their stuff. It is a joy to look after and I anticipate a lot less backache when weeding. The sedums etc. in the fish boxes on the wall are beginning to spread very nicely and hopefully will spill over and soften the box edges. It is my attempt at increasing my contribution to the fight against global warming. It may improve my green footprint rating.

I noticed yesterday that some of the heucheras are already sending up flower spikes. Can't wait to ID the different ones. I took some of the labels off and now do not know which is which. I hope the flowers will give me a clue. I have sent you a pm David.
