your ideas very welcome for developing this 12-month old garden into something pretty spiffing!

Is that lavender I see growing in front of the wall beside the door ? Could be the beginning of a wonderfully perfumed garden.
We have several users of this site who live in France, which part are you in ?

Hi Chrispook, those are very interesting ideas, I particularly like the rose arch - I've been thinking about that for a while, just not sure on the arch dimensions and things but it would fit in perfectly wouldnt it? I like your ideas and will explore them carefully! Thank you very much!!
Xela : yes that is lavender : we live just outside of Lyon, in the Rhone-Alpes area. I love smells in the garden - especially lemon verbena, lavender, roses ... wonderful wifts creep in through the kitchen window as I'm doing the washing up!

How about some kind of interesting path or stepping stones dividing the area up, with a corner with a pond or bubble foutain, and maybe a rose arch. ou could have another flower bed somewhere, with maybe a very attractive small tree or shrub such as a Maple as the centre focus. Of course I'm telling you some of the things that are in my garden and that I like. Your tastes could be totally different. We find that our garden evolves from 1 idea to another.
