No, I think I prefer the tiny species ones Anna, but I fell for these and I don't regret it. The yellow ones 'Camilvy' I have in the pots at the back are stunning...they have double yellow flowers and a yellow stripe on the leaves...they are my favourites at the moment, along with 'Persian Pearl' which is stunning and another tiny one.

Thank you both, they certainly brighten my front door! The dead bay tree behind them (out of shot) is for the dump I'm sad to say!

They do indeed. I've been pulling and pruning out dead stuff ready for the dump tomorrow....and found tiny new growth on Ceanothus Concha!! :))) The Pittosporum has gone, I managed to get out all the roots, so I'm pleased about that, and the corner looks fine without it....more open and sunnier somehow, so no great loss. The Elaeagnus was dead though, sadly. It does say on the label to protect from wind...I wonder if the cold winds did for it......there had been no root growth whatsoever, so it died as soon as it was planted. I will try it again as it looked lovely with the Helleborus!
