I was given this small 'shrub' 6 years ago. My friend and I didn't know what it was, it has never flowered before and I only kept it because I like the way it grew prostrate, it's only about a foot tall and has never really got any bigger in the time it's been planted. But lo and behold I do believe I have a magnolia stellata.

Lovely, yes, you have a magnolia stellata, slow growing, most of the time full of flowers...:))
