Thought I'd lost this one, but found a tiny piece living that I managed to root in water, now I'm just hoping it keeps doing well.

The plant wasn't thriving for some reason and was gradually dying off, I found a living piece of short stem with a leaf attached and put it in water, eventually it grew roots and I put it in a little pot.

Thx. Gillian, next time I will do that as well. I absolutely hate when any of my plants die. A good friend once told me there are buyers & there are gardeners, meaning one of my buddies with me that day, just replace & don't really "love" her plants, it is just a show place. So when they die.....too bad, get another. I fret & try & pull them through, just like you did with your begonia. Special gardeners do that:-))

Know what you mean! I get so sad when people just toss plants out with the garbage when they thing they are not as pretty as when they first bought them. Wouldn't like to admit how many chyranthemums I've 'saved' on garbage day!

I love it, yup I must admit, when my friend ditches plants, I am right behind her. Many a time I have loved them back to live & then she can't believe it is the same plant. Plants needs love.

You are so right! I never give up on a plant as long as there is some slight hope :)
