My Pink Ball tree was very disappointing this year. It is just blooming now...with only one bloom pods. Typically, this tree blooms in January - April with many flower pods. Photo taken April 14, 2011.

I think it's because this plant is so root bound...it can barely get any water or nutrients. It needs to go into the ground somewhere.

I was reading about Camelias too how if the hole in the pot can get blocked with the roots and can effect the drainage thus effecting the plant to deteriate.

This plant has solid roots in a 15 gallon pot. I need to removed it, cut the roots back and re-pot it...or it needs to planted into the ground.
