It really is a stunning tulip. I always admire it, don't know why I don't grow it!

It's just so elegant - less really can be more!

I think it's because it's so dark Meanie. I always think dark flowers are hard to see, so I go for something with a bit more purple in it, like Negrita. I have another dark purple one just coming out, but don't know the name of it. Will take a photo once it's fully out.

Whereas my eye is drawn to dark flowers! Sue says that my sense of humour is dark too, so maybe that's a clue!
