Thanks girls, I love it too..as Bjs says, "Spring colour is its only asset!" He's right too (apart from fact its slow growing which suits me) but just this one thing is enough to drool over every spring.

Ah well, a tree has to have more than one 'trick' to get into my garden.....all except the Parrotia Persica which has such fabulous autumn colour it has to have a place!

Thanks TOG. Karen, you have the same reaction to your Parrotia as me with the Acer, cept mine is for spring and yours for autumn! Must say the major factor for me is size. Not having too big a garden back or front, the trees need to be neat and/or slow growing. Then I look for other attributes...
