Is that a Rhododendron?

are Rhododendron and azalea the same thing? i think this is called 'beauty of littleworth' it was given me by a friend when i moved here

They are the same family Skips the Azaleas are usually smaller but not always .........

Azaleas are usually deciduous, but there are some evergreen ones as well... the difference is in the leaves really - rhododendrons have glossy, thick leaves - while azaleas have smaller, softer leaves, often bit hairy...

Thank you Cheepcheep looking at it looks like an Azalea by the leaves being smaller than the Rhododendron.
