Looks like you've been working very hard and it's looking really good. The little pheasant berry you sent me has survived the winter and is doing well, still potted, but I plan to put it in the garden very soon :)

Oh Gee, Im so pleased its OK, we did keep trying :-)
Thought I'd lost mine this Winter but they are OK and I do have a little one just in case for you. It should be OK now and will be happy to be in the ground.
Yes, lots of work done here, was an overgrown mess last Summer but getting there now, I have put many hours in.

Hi Sandra. Hope you're Ok. It connects to the woodland, if you go from my house, up the garden, turn right and right again you are there, lol.
The new grass seed is a bit patchy but getting there slowly. Have most of my first phase of ornamental trees set now.

I certainly will Karen, but please remember I need your help if you get a min. Lol. The paper bark maple is coming into leaf :). My lovely neighbour Janet has said I can take a photo of my new garden from her bedroom window as she has a better view.

How lovely for Janet! :)

Lol Karen, we laugh about it, she thanks me for her view, but she has the most amazing pond. Her friend said, what a big garden you have, Janet told her where the boundary was and the friend replied, Oh.
Lol. We laugh, we're not bothered about boundaries, Bonnie certainly isnt, she's always in the neighbours gardens and kitchens having treats :)

Great that you get on so well! I wish my neighbours would give me something to look at other than trampolenes!! lol

Omg, a neighbour adjoining this garden has one. The kids are teenagers. Quite disturbing to have them periodically looking over when one is weeding, boing boing, grrrr

I had a friend over from London, she said that her Casualty nurse friend made her promise never to get one for her son as they have Soooooo many accidents from them. My daughter hurt her ankle badly on one in a proper trampoline class in the university when she was small, and that was under supervision. One of the ones near my fence is huge and they have removed the safety netting and you get about six teens on there at once.....crazy...I just couldn't bear it....I can't bear to look when they are on it! Hopefully they will get bored with it before they get hurt! This estate is like trampoline city though. It's a shame they don't have proper dug in ones in the park like when we were small...they are much safer and loads of fun!

Crikey Karen, so they are as dangerous as one imagines. The one next to us has no netting and is against the fence, disaster written all over it. There was a teenage boy doing somersaults the other day, I was cringing.
I remember those sunken ones when we were kids on holiday, sunken into sand I seem to remember.

Yeah, they were great fun weren't they!

Sure were.

Love the curvy borders, it will be great to see it all planted up! Already lots and lots of hard work put into achieving that outcome, well done!

Thanks Helenium. I have some really nice trees in, the ones I've always wanted like Acer griseum (paper bark maple) :-)
Will do a blog, one day, when I get time :-)

Looking forward to it, Dawnsaunt!
there's a trampoline two gardens down from us, but give me that any day to over the other side who have Bar-b Que's 7 nights a week! Stinking!

you have been busy Dawn.... more garden less grass to cut week in week out..it grows so fast.
4 May, 2011
Dawn ,it's amazing to see just how much you have done on your new area in such a short time , you must be so pleased to see it taking shape at last .. :o))

Oh dear Helenium - stinky BBQ's, all the time is not good.
Yes Sandra, John can whizz over this grass on his mower and its shaped so that he only has to go forward.
Thanks Amy :-) The grass seed took ages to germinate properly, we had to water it or I dont think it would have got going at all, I thought Spring was meant to be rainy.
All the first phase of trees are in now so I'm just going to keep the weeds down by hoeing and then get some more in the autumn. Going up in Janets bedroom to take an aerial view photo, lol, she has a perfect view.
